For Sale: Forde Bros Special MG TC – $60,000

TC enthusiasts Harry and Val Forde began construction of the car in 1957 with its first race in 1962. The car was restored to its present condition by Gary Grant of Geelong in 1982. It carries a CAMS historical classification logbook.

The car design weighing 610kg, was based on Harry Firth’s TC with a modified chassis, offset engine and rear axle, and a standard gear box providing a seating position below the chassis line and to reduce the car height.

The 1380cc engine capacity with a ported head, Marshall-Nordec J75 blower geared to provide 7lb boost at 4000rpm plus, and a dual bowl SU carby running on straight Methanol. Standing quarter at the Geelong Revival 13.32 seconds. (The engine runs smoothly on 98 octane fuel when not in race mode.)

The car together with a purpose-built enclosed trailer is located in Ocean Grove, Victoria.

1967 MGB for Sale

A great opportunity to own a stunning, fully re-built original 1967 MGB MK1 in Nurburg White.  This vehicle was purchased from Peter Manton Motors on 22/03/1967 by the current and only owner.

 

A three year rebuild was completed by Charles Morgan, Geelong MG Car Club Preservation Judge in 2018.  The car has traveled 1402 miles since the rebuild.  It is currently registered on club plates. Registration No. 79072-H.

 

All original log books, receipt from Peter Manton Motors, tonneau, steering wheel and storage bags are intact.  A new hood and steering wheel are included in the sale.
